Commission and Referral Fee Disclosure. In accordance with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct (ET §1.520.001), Misty Newsome CPA LLC is required to disclose certain financial arrangements related to products and services we may recommend to our clients.

Software and Service Recommendations. From time to time, we may recommend third-party software, services, or products to assist you in managing your business operations, including but not limited to payroll processing, bookkeeping, and accounting software. In some cases, we receive compensation in the form of commissions, referral fees, or other financial benefits when clients engage with these third-party providers based on our recommendation. These financial arrangements do not affect the quality or objectivity of our professional services to you. We recommend only products and services that we believe will genuinely benefit your specific business needs. However, you are never required to use any product or service we recommend, and you are free to obtain similar services from other providers. However, for some software, like Xero, that is the only software we work in.

Current Arrangements. We currently maintain referral or commission arrangements with various software providers, including but not limited to payroll processing platforms such as Gusto and ADP and Relay Bank. The compensation we receive may vary by provider and may be based on factors such as initial setup, ongoing usage, or subscription fees paid by clients.

Your Right to Know. Before recommending any product or service where we receive compensation, we will provide you with written disclosure of the specific arrangement, including the nature and estimated amount of compensation we expect to receive. You have the right to decline any such recommendation without any impact on our professional relationship or the services we provide to you.
